ECO-FRIENDSHIP Project is finally On Board!
Our “ECO-FRIENDSHIP” project is finally on board. 45 high school students from Macedonia, Kosovo and Albania gathered this weekend for the first training named: “#Sustainable #Development #Goals #UN/SDG-s”.
Youth on Board was the organizer of this first training for the ECO-FRIENDSHIP project. It sparked youngsters’ interest about the sustainable goals of the #UnitedNations. We engaged the youngsters in finding new sustainable solutions that will make their close environment greener and youth-friendly. The impact of these goals on global sustainable development will largely depend on the world’s ability to transition to new governance for sustainability. This governance recognizes the roles and responsibilities of local and subnational governments.
The participants had a chance to improve their green skills and gave their ideas on how the schools can become greener and sustainable. In cooperation with school in Shtip, Let’s Do It Peja from Kosovo and Shoqata Alpin from Albania, we produced this amazing activity.
This activity is produced with the support of the Regional Youth Cooperation Office-RYCO. Its content is the sole responsibility of Let’s Do It Peja and its partners and does not necessarily present the views of RYCO.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, were adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030.
The 17 SDGs are integrated—that is, they recognize that action in one area will affect outcomes in others, and that development must balance social, economic and environmental sustainability.
