Jovana Stojceska – New Innovations, Serbia

Hey, travel lovers out there! I am going to tell you shortly about my unique experience in Belgrade. My name is Jovana and I was the Macedonian team leader at the awesome Erasmus+ project – ‘New Innovations Business Up’. It wasn’t my first Erasmus+ project – for sure, but it is my favourite one, so far. As business is not my primary occupation, it was a real challenge to be a participant in this youth exchange, especially because I had to do some research on various topics back home and implement them during the project. This educational opportunity enabled me with a wide spectrum of knowledge – now I can differentiate between regular business and a social enterprise, start-ups, accelerators and incubators, business models and the Canvas model, as well as different types of funding. The highlight of the whole project was presenting our ideas in front of Start IT members – the first Google partner in Europe. Not to forget that we had a lot of free time to explore Belgrade, visit its cultural and historical heritage, as well as experience the Serbian culture in a unique way – by raft parties, rakija and playing the guitar till dawn.
