Training course – Agros, Cyprus

The TC “Youth in Rural Development” took . place in Agros, in the period between 31.08 – 07.09.2019.

Four future youth workers from our NGO were actively involved in the discussions process, good practice examples sharing and presenting new ideas for rural development processes in the context of global changes. At the same time they had the opportunity to learn more about the entrepreneurship opportunities, rural business development by using local – rural resources such as natural environment, rural social capital, boundary objects, social infrastructure and others.

Youth organizations in both urban and rural areas have been negatively affected by the economic crisis and they are urgently calling for an increased capacity-building in areas such as leadership and board management skills, as explained by the project coordinator Vasilis.

We should create new methodologies to identify the challenges of our time and develop solutions and models for sustainable social organization. It is our job to inspire the next generation of young entrepreneurs- said Aleksandar, the group leader in this project.
