Project Citizenship
The Erasmus+ Youth Exchange called “Citizenship” took place from 27.11.2019-05.12.2019, in Shtip, and was coordinated by Youth On Board.
With 32 participants from Romania, Turkey, Greece, Poland, Spain and the hosts, North Macedonia, the project days were used to engage in debate, learn about citizenship, learn about voting, participating in simulated situations such as city council activities and voting processes.
The objective of this youth exchange was to inform the youngsters about their opportunities and duties in the European Society. This was done with the help of various indoor and outdoor activities and debates that allowed participants to speak freely about their opinions, but also discuss with people with whom they disagreed.
We wanted to help the participants to leave their comfort zone, put themselves in other’s shoes and try to solve situations that they will potentially encounter in their lives. The participants also received their Citizenship 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐇𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐒.
With this projects, participants were given the ideas and tools to share with their local community and always keep in mind that voting and being active in your local society is important.
As a result of this project, we are proud to present the Citizenship Stories Portal. There you can check out the stories of our participants and also share yours!
