Hate speech threatens democracy and social cohesion in many countries of the EU

Hate speech threatens democracy and social cohesion in many countries of the EU and around the world, as numerous national and international studies show. Especially young people have already come into contact with and/or been directly affected by hate speech. With our new “ReportHate” project, we will give young people the opportunity to become active. We are developing the first transnational hate speech reporting portal, especially for young people ever with our colleagues from Germany, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Israel and Spain. With new reporting facilities established at our organization, we will have a strong role to play not only in dealing with reports of hate speech but also in supporting youngsters in the whole process. The project already started and for the upcoming 2 years, we will build our network with you all! Stay tuned, our next stop is Sibenik, Croatia.
