Take Action, Create the Change!

The project implements a comprehensive multi-stage program on Leadership and Advocacy skills focusing on youth participation and civic engagement, involving youth workers from (Bulgaria, Turkey, North Macedonia, Poland, Belgium, Sweden, and Germany). At first, the project was focused on tailoring the capacity-building programs and toolkits to the needs of the participants and their organizations, and then on developing the capacities, knowledge, skills and attitudes of the youth workers, for them to take action on the local and national level by planning, implementing and reporting youth-led activities that raise an awareness and promote youth participation and civic engagement in various scales and formats and support active citizenship of young people, particularly young people at risk of social exclusion.

Results:
- Training toolkit on leadership and advocacy skills for youth workers;
- Guidance on Meaningful Adolescent and Youth Engagement, will be developed by Migration_Miteinander e.V.  from Germany with the support of all partners. To help the participating organizations operationalize and facilitate the implementation of the EU Youth Strategy 2019-2027; and the European Youth Goals. 
- 28 youth workers and activists from the 7 participating organizations were trained in leadership skills, youth participation and civic engagement, and how to work with young people at risk of social exclusion in their countries;

Objectives:
- To strengthen the organizational competencies of the participating organization to promote youth participation and civic engagement in various scales and formats and to support active citizenship of young people, particularly young people at risk of social exclusion, through developing their capacities, as well as the leadership and advocacy skills of the youth workers from the partner countries.

- To help the participating organizations work effectively with adolescents and youth ensuring that disadvantaged groups are addressed, and to ensure that they are meaningfully engaged and actively participate as partners in the development and implementation of policies, programs, and processes that affect them, by the core values and principles of the EU Youth Strategy 2019-2027: engage, connect and empower.
