EU Green – Sustainability Day | Shtip, North Macedonia

🌿 Sustainability starts with us!

As part of the EU GREEN project, Youth on Board organized an inspiring Sustainability Day – bringing together young people, youth workers, educators, and community members to celebrate local eco-actions and explore practical ways to live more sustainably. 🌱✨

The event featured discussions, field visits, and hands-on learning moments focused on the impact of small, everyday actions that build towards a greener future. Participants visited several urban gardens in Shtip, learned about sustainable planting, and exchanged experiences on how community-led green initiatives can transform public spaces. 🌻🌳

💬 During the open discussion “Sustainability Starts with Us”, participants reflected on personal responsibility, community collaboration, and the role of education in promoting environmental awareness. The session ended with a symbolic activity – the Green Pledge Wall, where everyone committed to taking one simple, consistent action for a cleaner and greener community. 💚

🤝 This event beautifully concluded the local implementation of EU GREEN in Shtip — leaving behind not only greener spaces, but also stronger connections and shared motivation to continue the green movement.
